Our Story

E.L.I. Inc. operates as a manufacturer's agency and a distributor, and is the successor of John B. Elstrott and Associates, which was the successor to the business operated by Walter Cooke. The original business founded by Walter Cooke was started in September, 1933.

E.L.I., Inc. (Elstrott-Lindberg-Irwin) was incorporated in January 1979 to act as a stocking distributor for American Standard Heat Transfer Division. George M. Irwin was the first president of E.L.I., Inc.

On January 1,1998, Stephen A. Joubert became President of E.L.I., Inc. George Irwin continues to work at E.L.I. Inc. part time.

Organization Structure

At present, we have four stockholders:

We have four directors, Steve A. Joubert, Timothy L. Irwin, Carl LaForge and John LaForge, who are chosen by the stockholders on a calendar year basis and who, in turn, elect the officers on a calendar year basis. Steve A. Joubert is President, Timothy Irwin is Vice President and Treasurer, Carl LaForge is Vice President and Assistant Treasurer, and John LaForge is Secretary.
